News for Freeland Robotics Club
Sorry, No Robotics Camp in 2013 -- for sure in 2014 though!
The Freeland Robotics Club is planning to offer it's second annual FLL summer camp. The first camp was a huge success! Thanks to all those who attended. Contact the Freeland robotics club by sending us an email with the link at the top of this page or call Charlie Snider at 989-695-9005. This program is a first-come-first serve opportunity for Freeland students going into 4th, 5th, & 6th grades. Read all the details below.
FIRST’s overview of the FLL program: Children are immersed in real-world science and technology challenges. Teams design their own solution to a current scientific question or problem and build autonomous LEGO robots that perform a series of missions. Through their participation, children develop valuable life skills and discover exciting career possibilities while learning that they can make a positive contribution to society. FLL aims to: inspire children to participate in science and technology; provide a fun & hands-on learning experience; encourage children to think like scientists and engineers; connect teams to their community; build self-esteem and confidence.
The summer camp will be modeled after the FLL template. An experienced FLL coach and former participants will conduct the course. Class size is limited to 12 students, so please sign up soon!
